Another month has gone by and we're still gripped by this winter weather as I write in the last 4 hours we have had over 4 inches of snow again leading to another cancelled walk.
This is the worst period of winter weather I can personally remember going back some 40 years I cannot remember winter lasting this long. I can remember more snow in a two week period but not over this length of time.
All the walks missed since the new year will be re programmed for this year.

We've had

Due to the Current Server Weather Warn we may be cancelling the Next walk as it would be unwise to Travel and walk in these conditions additionally it would probably added to the cost of the walk as we may not be able to cross easily to the walk.
A decision has been made and the walk is cancelled
Many thamks
and keep safe out there.

Over the coming month we may have a couple of interruptions to this site as we complete the move to our new hosting company.
Although we will keep the interruptions to a minimum you may from time to time see the site maintenance banner. If you do please try again in a little while and hopefully we will be back.
Thanks you for your continued support

Imagine this five hour ago you finished work. Got together with the rest of the gang filled up the mini bus and headed west to Snowdonia.
After Five hours of travelling including a stop for Fish and Chips a staple on the way to a weekend of Hill walking.
You arrive at the camp site (Bethgelate - Forestry Commission site Very good at the time ) As you have been before and have confirmed your pitch to direct the mini bus to the pitch.
Now remember you are in the middle of a campsite in the middle of the Snowdonia National Park and it Pitch Black except for the minibus head light.
The shout goes up "we're here!!" you open the side step out into the night and ........
