The Current weather warning has been downgrade from High to Moderate Risk.
Although the cold spell is easing, the risk of widespread icy surfaces with temperatures close to or below freezing at ground level continues through the weekend
Thawing snow will refreeze overnight in many areas, make for hazardous travelling conditions, and extra time and care will be required if you have to travel.
Wind and rain is expected to sweep in from the west into many areas on Saturday, and this rain combined with the thawing snow may bring a risk of localised flooding.
Currently this weather warning does not impact on the forthcoming event but with a return to colder weather predicted before the next walk this is a situation we are monitoring. check back regularly to see if the weather status has changed.
